CSGO

The 4 game win streak that CSU CSGO had rolling was put to the test this week as they had 3 separate matches. Starting with their match against ASU Gold they were able to put up win number 5 as they beat them 16–9 in their best-of-one series for the Skyline league. Then last Saturday they took on ASU’s division 1 squad in a super close series that unfortunately didn’t go their way. After splitting the first two games the third and final one went to ASU in a narrow 16–13 victory. Their next game took place just last night as they took on the CSUN Matadors with a need for revenge. Your CSU CSGO Rams were able to hand out an absolute smacking as they won 16–4 and 16–1. The Rams continue into next week looking to build even more off their recent success.

Valorant

CSU Valorant had their huge playoff match against PSU Blue and wow what a nailbiter it was. Both games went into overtime with 15–13 and 14–12 score lines that ended up favoring PSU. We are very proud of our team’s season and can’t wait to see what they will do in other ventures for the rest of the term.

Rocket League

Rocket League saw plenty of action once again as all three CSU teams were in action once again. The CCA Open #3 took place this past weekend and the results were not really what the teams were hoping for. The CSU Rams RL team ran into Mizzou the number one seed in the bracket in just the second round which resulted in them getting knocked down to the loser’s bracket where they were knocked out by UVU. CSU Green RL lost to the University of Minnesota and then fell to friendly fire to CSU Gold. CSU Gold had the best weekend of the three as they made a small run in the loser’s bracket before falling to UCSB.

Moving on to NACE League games the news is much better. The CSU Rams team was gifted a free win via forfeit putting them joint second in their group. CSU Gold was able to sweep SDSU to stay tied for first for their group, and CSU Green will take on UNM Silver later this week as they try and hold onto their first-place spot. Even the tougher weeks see plenty of wins sprinkled throughout and it seems as if a deep tournament or playoff run is right around the corner for all three of our Rocket League teams.

Now for this week’s Rocket League Play of the Week, all I can say is Harri is Him.

Rainbow 6 Siege

Another week, another three games for the CSU R6 teams. The CSU Rams team got back in the win column this week but unfortunately the same can’t be said about CSU R6 Gold and CSU R6 Green. All three teams will continue into next week as they look towards clutching up some more W’s. Speaking of clutches this week’s Rainbow 6 Siege play of the week is yet another Bizzy clutch.

Overwatch

The Overwatch Rams also had quite a busy week this week as they played 2 games in their Mountain West League. First, they matched up against New Mexico as they, unfortunately, were handed a 3–0 loss. However, this didn’t kill their spirits as they bounced right back with a 3–0 win over Air Force. Now for this week’s Overwatch Play of the Week check out this Lucio 1v5.
