Colorado State University Esports Weekly #14 (Year End Edition)
This is your weekly update on all happenings within CSU Esports!
Hello all and welcome to the year-end edition of CSU Esports Weekly it has been a blast producing these and I hope you all enjoyed reading them. Without any further ado let’s get into it.
Rainbow 6 Siege
The Siegedown was on the up this week as the event went swimmingly. A great way to end off the year this tournament was packed with talented teams and quality games. Our very own R6 Rams placed second in the tournament as they fell to San Jose State University in a hard-fought final. This was the last event R6 had down on their schedule officially making it the end of their year. With that being said we are switching it up a little bit for this last edition here is this year’s Play of The Year!
League of Legends
League of Legends at Colorado State is back as the Rams played their first Style League series this past Wednesday. The Rams matched up against much higher-ranked Hail of Spades and put up quite a fight. Unfortunately, they fell 2–0 in the series but are excited to see where this team can go. Now for this year’s Play of the Year!
Rocket League
Rocket League had quite the year as all three of their teams made noise in various tournaments. Not to mention the fact that they produced a divisional championship via CSU RL Green. Now for the extremely tough decision that is the RL Play of the Year!
CSGO, Valorant, COD, and Overwatch 2
All four of these games are a huge piece of CSU Esports and their seasons this year should not go unnoticed. We can’t wait to see what these games will do for years to come. Now let’s get into their Play of the Years!
CSGO
CSGO’s Play of the year is an elite display from RGriffer!
Valorant
Valorant’s Play of the Year is this crazy play from Synthetic RH. Talk about clicking heads!
COD
COD’s Play of the Year is a warning to all Call of Duty players. If you see OptimalFlames run.
Overwatch 2
Overwatch’s Play of The Year is none other than a DPS Lucio play.
